Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Farmakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Andreas Farmakis managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot.
