Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eddie Smefeldt started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Robert Boklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddie Smefeldt's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Boklund having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Boklund. The Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Boklund should have stopped the shot. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Boklund. Robert Boklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Boklund. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Boklund. Robert Boklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. A collision led to Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Peter Hökkvist hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albin Browall's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Browall helped the player get up and apologised. Albin Browall hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Boklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After 55 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Boklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 73 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Robert Boklund. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Robert Boklund in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils-Emil Ekrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Smefeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
