Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göran Nordgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Samyang Ramen booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alguacil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Erik Holmgren sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Jürgen Nudelman in the 23rd minute of the match. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Wållander having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Walter Siggman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Panama's Abraham Alguacil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Wållander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Wållander having to interfere.

Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Ravanelli in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Samyang Ramen's Fabrizio Ravanelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Walter Siggman made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Samyang Ramen's Bo-Erik Apelkvist was substituted for Fabrizio Ravanelli. In the 60th match minute, Samyang Ramen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Bogren to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Erik Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Samyang Ramen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Bogren to maneuver through the defense. Samyang Ramen's Alex Wållander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Wållander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
