Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Moench, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Moench prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, FC Wöllersdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Marco Moench reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Herbert Vester sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Moench made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Marco Moench made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Santo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Moench saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Wöllersdorf's Marco Moench played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Marco Moench however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Herbert Vester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Cazalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Moench came out and tried to block the shot, but Lorenzo Cazalla slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 62nd minute. Marco Moench showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Wöllersdorf's Gavino Santo got a free kick in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Vester came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marco Moench, 0-5. 80 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Moench. FC Wöllersdorf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 95th minute of play forced FC Wöllersdorf's goalkeeper Marco Moench to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
