After some careless play in the Chile defense, Béla Pásztor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Béla Pásztor in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedek Asztalos in the 15th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati. Kálmán Gyarmati was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Béla Pásztor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vilmos Solti kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save MALÉV SC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Béla Pásztor in the 41st minute of the match. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Béla Pásztor in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, MALÉV SC's Vilmos Solti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 60th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Guillermo Fontirroig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kálmán Gyarmati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Béla Pásztor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kálmán Gyarmati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 68th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilmos Solti in the 74th minute. MALÉV SC's Tibor Fülöp was substituted for Benedek Asztalos. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kálmán Gyarmati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chile's Orlando Casaus got a free kick in the 79th minute. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilmos Solti in the 82nd minute. MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 84th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Fülöp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bálint Molnár hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
