Peru's attentive Efraim Gilabert managed to snatch the ball when Daniel Prodan made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milagros Fraga's shot from long distance in the 90th minute was not bad at all, but Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Montesacro FC's zone, Rafael Gallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giacomo Casanova came out of the goal and Rafael Gallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Daniel Prodan in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
