An unexpectedly hard shot by William Westelinx in the 11th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Westelinx took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, Riemer Ax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Westelinx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. A sloppy throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Ouagadougou National's Karim Sia. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Westelinx in the 19th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The FC Ouagadougou National fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 31stth minute of the game William Westelinx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 32 minutes, William Westelinx made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Peru's Rolando Noboa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Rene Vereijt made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, William Westelinx managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ouagadougou National's supporters rose to their feet, but William Westelinx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rene Vereijt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paolo Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa was a little too slow when William Westelinx got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-5. William Westelinx came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Noboa could save by the left post. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With his leg Rolando Noboa managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Paolo Evis hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Jedrzej Kiszkiel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jedrzej Kiszkiel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Jedrzej Kiszkiel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 84th playminute. 89 minutes into the game, Paolo Evis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Paolo Evis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. The supporters of Peru booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riemer Ax didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Ouagadougou National eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
