In the 73rd minute of the match Terri Steenstrup sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. After 78 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. F.C. København's Terri Steenstrup got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Terri Steenstrup off the ground. A collision led to F.C. København getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Terri Steenstrup hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
