Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Barrionuevo started the match with the kick off. Mariano Lacasa in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergio Goycochea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Marquez in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, El Torero's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Casaus. Rene Guifre kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Barrionuevo in the 13th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Barrionuevo came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliano Rocendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Barrionuevo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Sergio Goycochea made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. If Pedro Indiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, El Torero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Guifre to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes El Torero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Mariano Lacasa made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that El Torero's Sergio Goycochea managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice moves Guillermo Fontirroig could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Sergio Goycochea however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, El Torero's Alejo Suero got a free kick in the 45th minute. Eduardo Barrionuevo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, El Torero's Eduardo Barrionuevo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Barrionuevo. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Carlos Egoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marek Pruss. In the 71st minute of the match El Torero got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Segundo Acosta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Segundo Acosta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marek Pruss's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Goycochea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sergio Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of play forced El Torero's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Goycochea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chile had won after a very even match.
