The audience thought a goal was coming when Nimród Tálas got free with Julio Vera in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Albert Puskás showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bandit Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vérsárkány SE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Agustín Saelices heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 31st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bandit Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Puskás. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nimród Tálas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bandit Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Bandit Sarap however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute of play forced Vérsárkány SE's goalkeeper Bandit Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Kőváry in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
