Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Elenescu in the 15th minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gheorghe Baldovin. Gheorghe Baldovin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Xavier Figueroa made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin managed to reach the ball for a save. Avram Elenescu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The FC Buzău supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
