An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute of play forced Kumla BK's goalkeeper Fred Hellqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Hellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. Kumla BK's Fred Hellqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Hellqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Kumla BK's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Fred Hellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Hellqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 35th minute David Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per Forss stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Per Forss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerry Bennet during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Kumla BK got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Bennet. In the 62nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fred Hellqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fred Hellqvist made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kumla BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Fred Hellqvist in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Kumla BK's Fred Hellqvist managed to reach the ball for a save. 72 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Fred Hellqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 74 played minutes Kumla BK got a freekick which was hit by Felix Sundberg. After a defensive mix-up in Kumla BK's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Hellqvist came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kumla BK's goalie prevented a goal. After 85 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Fred Hellqvist made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ecuador played a much better game than Kumla BK and deserved their victory. The Kumla BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
