Jesus Milian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jesus Milians short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. PATADAS S.A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
