After the first half Mexico were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, The Globo Red's Rudolf Rus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Globo Red's Don Bray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save The Globo Red from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Globo Red.
