Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kamal Pahlevi. Kamal Pahlevi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Iván Arraz charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iván Arraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Peru booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iván Arraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Leonard Treppa in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Kamal Pahlevi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 66th minute of play. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Julian Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Tirant lo Blanch made a substitution. Carmen Paniagua replaced Leonard Treppa. Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
