Vissefjärda IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Michael Fridlund did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 10 minutes into the match. Ulrik Granqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 24th minute Michael Fridlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ulrik Granqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Fridlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Ulrik Granqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Fridlund in the 37th minute. In the 38th match minute, Vissefjärda IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 龙雄鹏 to maneuver through the defense. When 龙雄鹏 fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vissefjärda IF's protests and gave 龙雄鹏 a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Vissefjärda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. 龙雄鹏 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Thedin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Vissefjärda IF's Michael Fridlund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulrik Granqvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Fridlund in the 56th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nick Stark charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nick Stark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Vissefjärda IF got a freekick which was hit by Nick Stark. Ulrik Granqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. Vissefjärda IF's Ulrik Granqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Vissefjärda IF from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Granqvist having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Ulrik Granqvist. Vissefjärda IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Fridlund in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walery Teofila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Michael Fridlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Michael Fridlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Vissefjärda IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
