After having played for 3 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eduard Micineanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Norman Brent kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Gombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 21st minute of play. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Gombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leandro Gombal came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced CAFC1905's goalkeeper Leandro Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norman Brent charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norman Brent the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CAFC1905. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Gombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Leandro Gombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CAFC1905's Leandro Gombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Gombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Gombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of the match. A hard shot 82 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Leandro Gombal managed to make a qualified save. CAFC1905's players were relieved. Leandro Gombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 84th minute. A collision led to CAFC1905 getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Daniel Parkin hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes CAFC1905 got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Parkin. Leandro Gombal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Zorita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute of play forced CAFC1905's goalkeeper Leandro Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than CAFC1905 and deserved their victory. The CAFC1905 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
