In the 20thth minute of the game Agustín Saelices who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIK's Arvid Uggla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Uggla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arvid Uggla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Alfredo Kimetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Kjellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by AIK's Leonard Kjellqvist. But to his dismay, Leonard Kjellqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 39th minute, AIK's Leonard Kjellqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Arvid Uggla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Arvid Uggla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Arvid Uggla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arvid Uggla quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper Arvid Uggla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esbjörn Kruse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvid Uggla made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AIK's goalkeeper Arvid Uggla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arvid Uggla was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arvid Uggla. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AIK's Arvid Uggla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save AIK from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Arvid Uggla made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arvid Uggla. Arvid Uggla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. With a little luck, AIK's Arvid Uggla got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Vesterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Arvid Uggla however easily saved by the left post. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
