In the 4th minute Hipolito Cristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 13th minute of play forced Pegale De Puntín's goalkeeper Ball Hold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ball Hold made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ball Hold didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Cipriano Ulizes sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Bilbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Pegale De Puntín's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ball Hold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Cristos in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Pegale De Puntín got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Ilixo. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Pegale De Puntín's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 42nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Cyprian Walicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Ulizes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Cristos in the 53rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ball Hold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Pegale De Puntín's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Ball Hold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Pegale De Puntín's Ball Hold got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Pegale De Puntín's goalkeeper Ball Hold had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
