With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Václav Filipi saved ATLETICO MENDOZA from getting behind. The supporters of Uruguay booed when ATLETICO MENDOZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the ATLETICO MENDOZA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Václav Filipi made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the game, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Ivan Gentza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Václav Filipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 79th minute of the match. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Václav Filipi made a huge save. 82 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Václav Filipi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Prudencio Bidun charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prudencio Bidun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Justo Muno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Muno in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. After 95th play minutes Maximino Ruy shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal.
