After 7 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. The crowd rose to their feet as ATLETICO MENDOZA's Ivan Gentza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play.
