FC Bullen's Kurt Pååk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Toni Schumacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Reyes in the 6th minute of the match. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Toni Schumacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 13th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Schumacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toni Schumacher having to make a save. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 45th minute. A nice corner shot did that Milagros Fraga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Toni Schumacher quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

FC Bullen's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Drake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 85th minute Philip Drake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 86 in the game by Rafael Gallo from a close distance when the talented Toni Schumacher managed to make a qualified save. FC Bullen's players were relieved. The supporters of Peru booed when FC Bullen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Merexildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When FC Bullen's Philip Drake in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
