With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Mehat Kovaçi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 21st minute. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehat Kovaçi's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 45 minutes into the game, Mehat Kovaçi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Mehat Kovaçi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 54 minutes in the game Horia Păuceanu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mehat Kovaçi. In the 55th minute, Eustaquio Mede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 58th minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Mehat Kovaçi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Mehat Kovaçi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Mehat Kovaçi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 67th minute of play. Horia Păuceanu made in the 70th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mehat Kovaçi however managed to control. A collision led to Cougars FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Angel Morales hit a great ball. If Steffen Gimlinge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Steffen Gimlinge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen Gimlinge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes of play, Cougars FC's Steffen Gimlinge made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen Gimlinge in the 96th minute of play.
