When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. In the 58th minute Sacit Gence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind DAZLAKLAR's goalkeeper Orhan Veli Akkoç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 64 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sacit Gence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sacit Gence was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Orhan Veli Akkoç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 93rd minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
