Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 5th minute, Curcio Pedrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yuri Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 9th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the S.M.O PAITA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of S.M.O PAITA booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.M.O PAITA's Yuri Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 24th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordaryal Quadros in the 41st minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordaryal Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.M.O PAITA's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Quirino came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.M.O PAITA were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lando Maeda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jerrold Camisons short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
