S.M.O PAITA's Yuri Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to S.M.O PAITA getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Henrikas Kučinskas hit a great ball. Moises Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuri Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Yuri Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, S.M.O PAITA's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Yuri Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bernal Manglano, made in the 22nd minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of S.M.O PAITA's Yuri Quirino. Yuri Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of S.M.O PAITA booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Ekström in the 30th minute of play. Bernal Manglano made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. 36 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Lando Maeda came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lando Maeda in the 41st minute of play. With an all-out effort, S.M.O PAITA's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lando Maeda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sebastian Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuri Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cordaryal Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when S.M.O PAITA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordaryal Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yuri Quirino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. 75 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Lando Maeda came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lando Maeda in the 84th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, S.M.O PAITA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rico Alfebra to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Yuri Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Yuri Quirino in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
