Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zbigniew Barowicz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zbigniew Barowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of the match. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 23rd minute of play forced Manantiales Fc's goalkeeper Zbigniew Barowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbigniew Barowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Federico Hanni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Beliran hit a great ball. Zbigniew Barowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Hanni, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Manantiales Fc's Zbigniew Barowicz got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manantiales Fc throughout the match.
