Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Vito Abasalo made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vito Abasalo. Vito Abasalo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caitano Aguilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kemen Marcilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vito Abasalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Abasalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Abasalo having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xamin Salazar in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Machado Babia made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Abasalo. Vito Abasalo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Trecebarras's Caitano Aguilar got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caitano Aguilar scored 2-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vito Abasalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Xamin Salazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vito Abasalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Trecebarras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kemen Marcilla charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kemen Marcilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Trecebarras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kemen Marcilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vito Abasalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xamin Salazar's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
