Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™:s goal. Joaquin Gayoso had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Rüknettin Aysan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Duarte in the 8th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Noel Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sune Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 13th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Duarte in the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Noel Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Noel Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 23rd minute Noel Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 25th minute of play forced ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Sune Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Valeh Cerda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Cabral in the 32nd minute of the match. Jorge Sainz made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Flavinho Cabral. 38 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Noel Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Noel Duarte took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 46th minute, Noel Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Noel Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Noel Duarte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Duarte's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ made a substitution. Adriano Schmidt replaced Cristian Paraense. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Flavinho Cabral quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camilo Franco, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Flavinho Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sune Rudberg having to interfere. In the 77thth minute of the game Maximiliano Escribano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Sune Rudberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Noel Duarte sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute of the match ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rüknettin Aysan ran over to the corner to take the kick. 84 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Sune Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Duarte in the 94th minute of the match. The ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
