Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Aaron Kvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 7 minutes, Börje Lindsten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds United FC and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Börje Lindsten. Elliott Levander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 10th minute of the match. Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink got a throw-in 15 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sonny Classon. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Levander having to interfere. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kennet Bergqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Leeds United FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play.

Hector Covarrubias took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elliott Levander. Elliott Levander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 56 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Kvist came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Escribano's late challenge caught a Leeds United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Escribano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Mikael Larsfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kennet Bergqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Elliott Levander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Kvist's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Primitivo Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute Aaron Kvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Kennet Bergqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Kvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Kvist in the 96th minute of play. Paraguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Leeds United FC had won, even though Paraguay had held more of the ball.
