After a defensive mix-up in Leeds United FC's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elliott Levander came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Alcocer during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aaron Kvist to strike the kick off in the second half. After 68 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Börje Lindsten. Elliott Levander came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig. But to his dismay, Lautaro Puig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. 95 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Elliott Levander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Although Leeds United FC had been in control for most of the match, Costa Rica still came away with the win.
