Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, demir idmanyurdu's Halit Tomurcuk got a free kick in the 16th minute. demir idmanyurdu's Selmo Illescas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but demir idmanyurdu's Selmo Illescas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Selmo Illescas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Conta got free with Julio Vera in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When demir idmanyurdu's Prospero Perutxo in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Perutxo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selmo Illescas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 44th minute of play. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when demir idmanyurdu's Hami Eyüp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Selmo Illescas made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, demir idmanyurdu's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Selmo Illescas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Perutxo in the 62nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Selmo Illescas came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 63rd minute. After 67 played minutes demir idmanyurdu got a freekick which was hit by Halit Tomurcuk. With a little luck, demir idmanyurdu's Selmo Illescas got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Perutxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute demir idmanyurdu were awarded a corner. Emil Bartochowski went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 93rd match minute, demir idmanyurdu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Héj to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selmo Illescas having to interfere. The demir idmanyurdu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
