Türkeş Tonguç's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Türkeş Tonguç helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Birvan Spor Kulübü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Türkeş Tonguç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry de Vries having to make a save. Henry de Vries showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry de Vries having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry de Vries breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry de Vries showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry de Vries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Birvan Spor Kulübü's Abdulbaki Osmanoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 36th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry de Vries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Pankracy Modrzewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Ciprian Mârza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antoni Pstrongowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Pstrongowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antoni Pstrongowski struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birvan Spor Kulübü. A hard shot 64 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Henry de Vries managed to make a qualified save. Birvan Spor Kulübü's players were relieved. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry de Vries read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Henry de Vries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birvan Spor Kulübü's Ahmet Çağrı Sanay was substituted for Vecdi Sulasi. Birvan Spor Kulübü's Tuna Onurad was substituted for Ciprian Mârza. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Pstrongowski in the 73rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry de Vries read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Birvan Spor Kulübü's goalkeeper Henry de Vries had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Henry de Vries didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Birvan Spor Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Potocianu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute of play forced Birvan Spor Kulübü's goalkeeper Henry de Vries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
