Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugo Frasco kicked off to start the match. Cirilo Claris hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico were furious when Lorenzo Cazalla was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! In the 11th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. León FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luca Zorita made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that León FC's David Ospina managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute of the match, Raimundo Larra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. León FC's David Ospina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 15th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Frasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, León FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but David Ospina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as León FC's Hugo Frasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Ospina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Raimundo Larra sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lautaro Mancebo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with David Ospina in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after León FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Primo in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Checa in the 89th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Witold Domeradzki charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
