Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Doug Las Casas took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Pajala Sunrise's Börje Axelsson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Cholachat Coolcat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 8 minutes, Doug Las Casas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pajala Sunrise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doug Las Casas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Cholachat Coolcat in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillermo Mariano made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pajala Sunrise's Mathias Nässén. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Nässén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Pajala Sunrise's David Lindman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed David Lindman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pajala Sunrise protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Lindman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Pajala Sunrise's Per-Arne Svartengren was substituted for Doug Las Casas. In the 20th minute, one of Pajala Sunrise:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pajala Sunrise. Ingvar Lindqvist got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Per-Arne Svartengren. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Arne Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Cholachat Coolcat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Arne Svartengren. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cholachat Coolcat was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pajala Sunrise's Stefan Lindholm was substituted for Sebastian Tolsson. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Cholachat Coolcat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 78 minutes into the game, Per-Arne Svartengren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Per-Arne Svartengren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Pajala Sunrise's Per-Arne Svartengren got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Johannes Friberger sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute, Stefan Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them.
