The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aniol Paris. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. Dudu de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sociedad Deportiva Aboque. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Jaraczeski in the 32nd minute of play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Marinho in the 35th minute of the match. Feijo Segarra got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gláuber Gerber. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aniol Paris having to interfere. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aníbal Marinho to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sociedad Deportiva Aboque booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gláuber Gerber's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Despite being the better team, Sociedad Deportiva Aboque failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
