After 7 minutes, Felix Luque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the Sabaneta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Petri Romuroso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-0. After 14 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Mier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rian Giggs in the 18th minute of the match. Cássio Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 29th minute of play forced Sabaneta FC's goalkeeper Kevin Mier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Firman Urquizu. Kevin Mier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 36th minute of play forced Sabaneta FC's goalkeeper Kevin Mier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Kevin Mier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Antonio Masciarelli made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Facundo Cadaval was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Mier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabaneta FC's Osmundo Bolde was substituted for Fabian Lawrence. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brun Bucaran in the 67th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rian Giggs in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Rian Giggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Osmundo Bolde came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sabaneta FC could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
