With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Medero Barral came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abram Secada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio-César van Beek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Medero Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altza Herria's supporters rose to their feet, but Medero Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio-César van Beek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 90th minute of the match.
