Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliciano Martxelin in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulryk Bugajski was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Cipriano Ramone made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Samuel Hitz. In the 38th match minute, Argentino de Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Martxelin to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Piarres got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonzalo Marcones hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Rafael Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Honduras booed when Argentino de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Hitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Honduras had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
