The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Cherro was the one to do the kick off. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Bolsodios players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bolsodios booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Berto Somiedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolsodios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berto Somiedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Bolsodios's Berto Somiedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bolsodios played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
