After having played for 14 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Buturugã. LOI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. George Buturugã showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sulo Montaña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 48th minute LOI were awarded a corner. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ahmet Hamdi Ortan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. George Buturugã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 52nd minute of play. George Buturugã showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, George Buturugã skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 86 minutes into the match, Peru's Eliseo Mina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Buturugã narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. LOI made a substitution. Kerimhan Cevher replaced Metin Semi. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LOI.
