Gilbert Paciuszko kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Gökçen Harmancı's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gökçen Harmancı helped the player get up and apologised. Clemente Montes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Uruguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Franklin Sarron 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 31 played minutes Football Wizards 59 got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Montes. Spyros Chatzakos came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Joaquin Gayoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Franklin Sarron showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Spyros Chatzakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 47th minute, Maximiliano Escribano made a precise shot to the right of Spyros Chatzakos. Football Wizards 59's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the match, Football Wizards 59's goalkeeper Spyros Chatzakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Montes in the 57th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Football Wizards 59 got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilbert Paciuszko ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Football Wizards 59's corner Francesco Andreola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. Spyros Chatzakos was a little too slow when Francisco Seco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 2-4. 70 minutes in the game, Francisco Seco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Spyros Chatzakos having to interfere. Franklin Sarron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Spyros Chatzakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Gökçen Harmancı left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Football Wizards 59 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. After 83 played minutes Football Wizards 59 got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Montes. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Football Wizards 59's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Football Wizards 59's goalie and right to Francisco Seco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Football Wizards 59's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 89th minute, Maximiliano Escribano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Francesco Andreola made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. Gökçen Harmancı hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
