Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Traian Iorda in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taavetti Mattila. SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Taavetti Mattila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. Eldur Heido kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nieminen in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Ali Nieminen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Joaquin Prats hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play forced SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's goalkeeper Taavetti Mattila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Nieminen's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. A throw-in in the 54th minute of the game was made by Maciek Sosnovskiy with Jiang Zhen Sen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Milagros Fraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Taavetti Mattila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Traian Iorda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Taavetti Mattila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Traian Iorda's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's Eldur Heido got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Taavetti Mattila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 74th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's goalkeeper Taavetti Mattila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. After 79 minutes, Jerry Knowles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jerry Knowles kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Ali Nieminen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. In the 91st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efraim Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. The SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
