KS Blizne's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Mexico. In the 17th minute of the match Alberto Tafalla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Gregorczyk skillfully saved the ball. After 18 played minutes KS Blizne got a freekick which was hit by Piotr Filipkowski. Edgar Gregorczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Cyryl Dziurowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Edgar Gregorczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 29th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Cyryl Dziurowicz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 2-0. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Edgar Gregorczyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 47 minutes, Cyryl Dziurowicz made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Cadaval got free with Edgar Gregorczyk in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Gregorczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgar Gregorczyk firmly grabbed it by the left post. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar Gregorczyk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 77th minute of play forced KS Blizne's goalkeeper Edgar Gregorczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, KS Blizne's Cyprian Bugno got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of KS Blizne booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. The KS Blizne players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
