After 10 minutes FC Acatar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aureliusz Kon was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Acatar's players had a chance to rest. Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Lobo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Chile's Mariano Lacasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diamantino Lobo. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. After 30 played minutes FC Acatar got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Doinaș. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andrei Alexandrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off.
