Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Hârlab in the 30th minute of play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrei Alexandrescu was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Alexandrescu in the 57th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Acatar reached it. After 80 minutes FC Acatar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Diamantino Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Diamantino Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 84th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
