Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Iacob Drăgoescu had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iacob Drăgoescu. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play forced Old Boys's goalkeeper Aurelian Hidiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iacob Drăgoescu got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Old Boys's Gelu Feraru got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Flavius Nebunu fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Old Boys's protests and gave Flavius Nebunu a yellow card for diving instead. Flavius Nebunu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Old Boys's Aurelian Hidiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Old Boys from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes in the game Sever Podgoreanu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Flavius Nebunu. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Aurelian Hidiș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. When Gelu Feraru fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Old Boys's protests and gave Gelu Feraru a yellow card for diving instead. Aurelian Hidiș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Iacob Drăgoescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Feraru to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Sever Podgoreanu with Stelian Zorlescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 91 minutes into the match, Iacob Drăgoescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iacob Drăgoescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 93 minutes into the game, Mugur Hurezan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Mugur Hurezan got a free kick in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Old Boys had won after a very even match.
