An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of the match. Norrlands Athen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Lebron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Milagros Fraga made a precise shot to the right of Safet Hands. Norrlands Athen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Stig-Arne Deckberg made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Måns Sandberg however managed to control. The throw-in from Stig-Arne Deckberg in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 37th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Norrlands Athen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Måns Sandberg got free with Rolando Noboa in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Qian Zhen Sheng hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Måns Sandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Lebron came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Lebron in the 55th minute of the match. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Sandberg in the 65th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Hermansson in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Gilbert Hermansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Bergfelt in the 80th minute of play. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Safet Hands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 90th minute of play. Safet Hands made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Hermansson in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
