After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Kerim Altunbaş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciruel Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerim Altunbaş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jacob Alavedra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 18th minute, Toma Ron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kerim Altunbaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Altunbaş in the 19th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Kerim Altunbaş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Kerim Altunbaş blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerim Altunbaş in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Kerim Altunbaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Kerim Altunbaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kerim Altunbaş might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kerim Altunbaş ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Isi Rider in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Ciruel Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Saliba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Alavedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Kerim Altunbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kerim Altunbaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kerim Altunbaş struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Jacob Alavedra in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jacob Alavedra made a huge save. If Lucas Grijander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
