Etienne Dujardin hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Ferrando. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amir Sianturi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th match minute, Arsenal CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Eloy Ferrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Eloy Ferrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovânio Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Amir Sianturi. Arsenal CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Arsenal CF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Palmquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Arsenal CF's goalkeeper Amir Sianturi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Joacim Nordlund's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joacim Nordlund helped the player get up and apologised. Joacim Nordlund hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eloy Ferrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 67 played minutes Arsenal CF got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Damm. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Amir Sianturi made a huge save. In the 74th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Juan Sebastián Puig managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Amir Sianturi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amir Sianturi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
